What a GREAT EVENT!!

I want to offer a sincere thank you to everyone that participated in the event. It turned out to be a great day and a lot of great people showed up to participate. It's nice to see that we can not only come together for a great time on the water, but also come together for a very worthy cause.

I want to thank Compassion Alliance for all they did to help bring this event together as well as (and more importantly) the work they do on a daily basis to support everyone in need. It does not go unnoticed nor is it unappreciated. Thanks for all you do!

I also want to give special recognition to Chris & Kris Gehman. In case you don't know, they took a significant amount of damage from the tornadoes in Lake County. Not only did they take damage to their home and metal buildings, but also had a tree fall across their 27' Daytona Eliminator which caused some damage to the boat and the trailer. However, even through all that they were very excited to participate in the event and ran the event in their 26' Rendevous. They were not the fastest boat on the course, but they had a good time none the less ( I know it was tough for Chris not to have his Eliminator). They even left early to man the 5th card stop, which was well above and beyond. Thanks so much guys, and I expect to see that Eliminator out front next year!

Last but not least I want to thank all that personally gave their time and effort to put this event together. (Mr. Vossberg, SR. - for piloting the plane, Mark Bedker - for taking the photos and all the other volunteers for working the stops) and specifically C.A. Vossberg for really stepping up and working with me (almost on a daily basis). Together we were able to work though just about every challenge. Thanks CA!

A couple of final notes.

We ran out of hats at the run and I know that a few people wanted them, so if you didn't get one, and want one please email me at jwilburn AT gmail.com and we will get one sent out to you.
